Post mortem: The soundboard was hopelessly overmodulating the signal as this was the virgin test broadcast of the Spanky McFadden fone patch. I suppose we were having too much fun at the winterfest and we should have hung up the hotel fone and dropped the levels a bit. But, hey, we were at the winterfest. Technical difficulties abound, especially when you're trying to set up a studio in a hotel room.
