Tonight's turgid episode was broadcast live at 2200 UTC on WBCQ 7.415 MHz worldwide international shortwave, and on the net at the usual places. Spotty reception resulting from solar activity today. Despite that, signals were observed all around, from Wisconsin, Maine, Nova Scotia, Louisiana, and Minnesota. Others closer in, and here in Maryland, listened off the 'net as the signal dropped badly after the top of the hour. We were on shortwave at 2155 today and did a brief set of tasty musical numbers to warm up. This is show #172.

Lasar Hot Hots/Sycko

Saturday, September 29, 2007, 1501, 6925 usb. Music, good sound, weak but clear. At 1503, however, a Sycko Radio SSTV appeared on top, much stronger. ID from the music station at 1509, Lasar Hot Hits, Radio Caroline 558 also mentioned. Another SSTV from Sycko at 1511. Song "Hair" from the movie of the same name at 1516. Sycko testing audio at 1517, seemingly oblivious to the other transmission. Sycko silent from then on, Lasar Hot Hots relay continued with music and commentary. ID at 1526 and into Elvis.

Sycko on again at 1538 with a rap-ish song, best on 6925.18. Off a minute later, then back at 1542. Lasar off at 1551 and Sycko back on at 1553, best at 6925.1.

What the fuck is it with these cheap shit cable TV setups in hotels? 2 bible beater channels, 2 shopping channels, 2 spanish channels, 2 infomercial channels, 4 channels full of sports reruns and commercials, 4 channels so full of QRM that the television can't keep sync or sound, and 18 channels full of commercials?

Our third anniversary show was warmly received from all kinds of great listeners on the shortwave and inetrnet bands tonight. This one went off at 2200 UTC on Saturday, September 22, 2007, on WBCQ 7.415 MHz. Friends and listeners from Oklahoma, Texas, Ontario, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Louisiana, Indiana, Maryland and Minnesota all checked in with kind words. Our show was sandwiched by cool creepy theramin music from The Day The Earth Stood Still. Also, in a flashback to our first show in 2004, we were on 7415 a few minutes early today.
