Our latest appearance on shortwave was an impromptu fill-in for Jen's 867-5309 on Saturday, February 2, 2008 at 0000 on WBCQ 7.415 MHz. Good signals reported further out from listeners in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois. Listeners to a cool web-enabled HF rig in North Carolina also reported good conditions. Jane 32 and a song

Posted at 8:06PM on Friday, December 28, 2007 in 867-5309 and hf and lumpy gravy radio show and wbcq.

Allan asked if we would like to do another impromptu, spur of the moment broadcast this evening as a pinch hit for Jennifer's 867-5309, and we were happy to accommodate him. Sadly, conditions were poor tonight here. 5110 was good for the first half of Area 51, from 2200 to about 2300, then it was covered with noise and faded away. I could hear World of Radio in upper side band at 2335 check. 7415 was gone all evening, until it started to come in above the noise about 0055.

Sedated

Posted at 10:40PM on Friday, October 5, 2007 in 867-5309 and hf and lumpy gravy radio show and wbcq.

Our latest venture was recorded live at Master Control in Monticello at 2300 UTC on Friday, October 5, 2007, on 7415. After a day of air travel and a long drive to northern Maine, we were kind of crufty and loose. This show opened up our Fall Tour, and as expected, was full of all kinds of annoying laptop jamba, burgers on the grill, and lively commentary.

  • Source Jamba!

Posted at 9:19PM on Friday, September 7, 2007 in 867-5309 and hf and lumpy gravy radio show and wbcq.

Our 167th show was produced live on WBCQ 7.415 MHz worldwide shortwave at 2300 UTC on Friday, September 7, 2007. Jamba is a self-fulfilling term, because just moments after I uttered this word, our webcast feed to the station crapped out and we were forced to feed the remaining 8 minutes or so via the phonium patch. Excellent signal tonight here in Maryland.

Another Friday evening voyage onto the short waves, this one at 2300 UTC on Friday, July 20, 2007, on WBCQ 7.415 MHz. This one was a lot of fun! We got listener feedback from all around, as far out as Michigan and Ohio. Signal here was great with only minor cratic stashes and swishing propagation as the grey line approaches.

Jen asked Timtron and I to do a three week tag team in the Friday 7PM time slot on WBCQ. From now on, you never know what you're going to hear here. We really enjoy doing this Friday show and hope to give you some more entertainment in the future.
